This part of the Costa del Sol is less developed than its eastern neighbours, and it benefits from a dramatic mountain backdrop, spectacular sea views and lush greenery. It is also home to some of the most exclusive neighbourhoods on the western Costa del Sol, with their proximity to the sandy coast and amazing panoramic views.

Estepona itself has retained its traditional Andalusian character, with cobbled streets, a fishing port and Spanish cafes spilling out higgledy piggledy onto the pavements. The inland hills offer spectacular natural landscapes, while the beautiful marina at Duquesa is a fantastic base to explore the surrounding area by sea and land. The nearby beaches of Los Reales and Elviria are a short drive away, as is the stunning Bohemian beach town of Tarifa. Gibraltar is under an hour’s drive, while Cadiz and Jerez are also accessible in under two hours.
