Steve Stratis

Steve Stratis is an award-winning designer whose works blend digital 3D sculpting and VFX to create a unique abstract-centric aesthetic. His work has won a number of top awards in high-end exhibitions and internationally-juried art as well as design competitions.

In addition to his creative work, he is also a successful attorney and teaches Constitutional law and American government at King’s College in New York City. His practice includes a broad range of bankruptcy, litigation, corporate and funding matters. He represents entrepreneurs, private equity firms and investment banks as well as celebrities, sports figures, artists, TV personalities, models and other entertainment industry clients.

Stratis was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is of Greek descent. She grew up in a Catholic family and was inspired by her grandmother to pursue a career as a dancer and model. She attended the University of Toronto before turning professional and joining the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1999, now World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Early on in her WWE career, Stratus was involved in sexually themed storylines, including a kayfabe relationship with Vince McMahon. However, she soon began to gain a following due to her in-ring ability and was dubbed the “WWE Goddess”.

On the December 26 episode of Raw, the storyline between Stratus and fellow diva Mickie James developed into a romantic relationship when James initiated an intimate kiss with Stratus under a sprig of mistletoe, causing a surprised Stratus to flee the locker room.

At the Raw 25 Years special event on January 22, 2018, Stratus was part of a segment honoring women considered legends who contributed to the company’s success, including the Bella Twins, Maryse, Torrie Wilson, Kelly Kelly and Maria Kanellis. On the following night during the first annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Stratus made her return to in-ring action, entering the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match where she eliminated previous rivals Alicia Fox and Mickie James before being eliminated by Sasha Banks.

Stratus continued to compete for the Women’s Championship on the Raw brand, winning five more titles before losing it to Lita at Bad Blood. She returned to the title picture a month later at New Year’s Revolution by defeating Lita with her signature submission move, the Sharpshooter.

On the August 27 episode of Raw, Stratus returned to the ring in her hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in a tag team match alongside Natalya and Alexa Bliss to win against Alicia Fox and Mickie James. Afterwards, she interrupted an in-ring segment featuring Elias and slapped him in the face, announcing that she would face Alexa Bliss at the upcoming Evolution pay-per-view.
